About an hour away from where we live, in the Bay of Plenty, is Rotorua. Rotorua is a popular tourist destination for overseas tourists and new Zealanders also. Being a thermal area there are popular spas and we enjoy sightseeing also!

There are two pics of boiling mud pools and another of a Maori warrior performing a challenge and the visitor is picking up the proffered piece of greenery to signify that he comes with peaceful intentions.
The geyser you see is the famous Pohutu which plays about every 35 minutes.
