Andrea Bocelli - Canto Della Terra

Andrea Bocelli came to New Zealand for just one concert two nights ago in Auckland. We were lucky enough to be able to attend.

The Czech National Symphony orchestra were supporting him.

It was truly an amazing evening.

Christian the Lion - the full story (in HQ)

An amazing video clip

Fred Dagg - Gumboots

The rain of the last few weeks reminded me of this song which was popular in the 1970's.

MoneyTree

This is our Money Tree. Our own personal Money Tree. Sometimes called a Jade Plant.

Our Tree is huge, in full flower at the moment.

I wish that had some deep meaning, was symbolic of our financial position, but no, I don't think so!

I dream on.

Smiley Award

Gail awarded this little smiley face to me a few weeks ago and it has been waiting in the wings for me to add to my blog.

It is a delightful little picture, drawn by her son for her. I just love it - makes me smile just to imagine her little boy giving her such a bright beautiful face!

Thank you Gail.

I would like to pass it on to other people who make me smile;

Candy,

and

Chrissy,

These are the first blogs I ever visited and I still enjoy them regularly.

It is a privilege to be able to part of their lives in a small way and I appreciate their comments and input into my life!

Storms are over but now the Ants have invaded us.

The rain has stopped, the storms have passed - two in five days.

We are very lucky not to have been flooded or affected in any way. Our trees have lost a few small branches, but thats all.

Many people throughout all of New Zealand have had their homes flooded, blown apart, or damaged by landslides and slips. Many have no power and won't for days as workers strive to repair the damage.

But we have a new problem to contend with - an ant invasion!

The entire ant population of our back yard has decided that our house looks drier and more comfortable than their quarters. All through the kitchen they have marched, some taking up residence along the way. They seem to have taken a liking to my stove and some are camped in behind it. I use the word 'camped' because they needn't think this is permanent!

Need I say more. The odd ant or two I can deal with and they don’t faze me out at all, but armies of them I object to!

The battle lines are drawn and its one all at the moment.
