Hi Putz and jinksy No you can't eat it! The protea originates from South Africa.
No it doesn't have a perfume but it is very very attractive to bees. At any time during the day you can see lots of bees with their heads down tails up collecting nectar.

the problem with the king is that you cannot eat it, so what real value does it hacve????????
