Cheeky Blackbird

When I feed our cats we have a visitor who also arrives for some food - a very cheeky Blackbird.

He sits just a few feet away from the cats and is not at all concerned for his safety. He has probably realised that two of our three cats are so old and deaf that they wouldn't be able to even hear him, let alone chase and catch him.

The white spots on the lawn are petals from the flowering cherry tree above.

Sorry about the poor photo - it is taken out the window and shows the reflection.

Oh, your cat looks so lovely... and familiar! One of our "Very Important Cats" when I was growing up was a black-and-white, and sported a little black goatee on his chin. We called him Figaro.

Hi Candy - Figaro is a very noble name! Ours are Jonty (the one in the picture) - named after a member of the South African cricket team, Roxi, and Melvin.
