Our little tree is has a huge crop this year. This is the first large crop it has ever had - in previous years it flowers really early, before the bees seem to know its there, and I have resorted to fertilizing the flowers with a paint brush.
This year, however, it flowered later when our other plum was flowering and the bees were out and about and doing their job.
Is the flesh orange like an apricot? We have a plum in our yard (in central BC Canada) that looks like an apricot in colour and size and when made into jam, tastes like apricot jam. We do not know the name of the plum. Its flesh is quite soft, almost mushy when truly ripe.
Hi Oma - I have never made Louisa plums into jam so not sure how they would taste. They are a pale yellow inside, very sweet and flavoured. Not really apricot looking.

do when you say lucious, good eating, sweet, or good for you or luxerious rich and regal Z?????? or just pretty to look at?????
